Waveform Generator Products and Systems

Waveform generators are an excellent tool to recreate real-world signals and offer precise simulations for innumerable challenging test conditions. Waveforms used in airbag deployment, multi-tone amplifier testing, ABS brake simulation, I and Q digital modulation, cardiac device calibration, power disturbance harmonic generation, LCD drive wave shapes, laser beam control and ultrasonic wafer cleaning drive signals are but a few of the uses for arbitrary waveform generators.

Applications

Acoustic and Audio
Testing for intermodulation distortion, audiological deficiency, sonar simulation, geophysical contour analysis, bearing failure assessment, amplifier linearity testing, multi-tone response evaluation, and other critical measurements require high-resolution waveforms.
Medical/Biomedical
For threshold testing and monitor evaluation, arbitrary waveforms find many uses. Psychophysical assessment, biofeedback simulation, patient display monitor testing, arrhythmia simulation and EKG pacemaker certification are used in production, calibration. 
Automotive
Waveforms used in systems for airbag deployment, electronic security codes, ignition timing signals, suspension actuation, ABS brake simulation need high-resolution and long delays using the sequence generator. Life testing of automotive control modules are useful in performance certification.
Power
Utility meter testing and disturbance simulation are important uses for single- and multi-phase waveform generators. Important uses include harmonic generation, precision phase angle control, disturbance pattern sequences, utility meter calibration and uninterruptible power supply testing.
Communications
Applications include modem testing, I and Q modulation, radio data simulation, modulator phase sensitivity measurements, pseudo-random code patterns, intermodulation distortion. Modulation formats include CDMA, W-CDMA, QPSK, MSK, FSK, AM, FM and many more.
Semiconductor and Ferroelectric
Waveform variety punctuates the scientific area of application. Uses range from LCD testing, SEM lithography, ultrasonic wafer cleaning, semiconductor device evaluation, FeRAM characterization, wafer resistivity measurement, laser beam control and fluid flow metering using a wide range of waveforms.
